HaritUpvan comes up in Lucknow!
AtalHaritUpvan in Lucknow is being created as an integrated tree plantation site, which is powered by community and volunteers. It is being developed as an integrated development model on urban forestry to the entire state and country. The activities under Harit Workshop are seed collection drives, compost making, bird nest making (of all shapes and sizes, especially for sparrows and owls), nature walks, bird watching, plant nursery management, how to make micro-nurseries, bioenzyme making, proper tree plantation and maintenance techniques. Through this campaign the Give me Trees Trust is engaging nearby communities, RWAs, schools, etc. and encouraging them to join in creating organic compost at their site
